Hope in Action - Immediate Relief and the Future of Project Casa Abrigo in Venezuela

At the UNISAL Foundation, our commitment to delivering humanitarian aid directly, transparently, and effectively to vulnerable communities in Venezuela remains stronger than ever. Working hand-in-hand with the Asociación de Pastores Unidos de Brión (APUB), the Crisis Management Committee in Venezuela, CCN / La Casa de Mi Padre in the United States, and local government leaders, we are actively responding to the most urgent needs on the ground.

Here is an update on our recent milestones and the critical next steps for this mission.

📊 Our Recent Impact in Numbers

Over the past week, a dedicated local team of approximately 50 volunteers completed three critical trips to La Guaira, generating life-changing relief:

  • Nutrition: Organized mass feeding programs, serving hot meals to roughly 2,700 individuals at one designated point and 600 individuals at a second location.
  • Hygiene: Delivered and distributed approximately 1,000 personal hygiene kits to families in critical need.
  • Emergency Medical Care: Deployed a specialized medical brigade consisting of four professionals: a pediatrician, a general practitioner, a psychologist, and a psychiatrist. The medical necessity was overwhelming—all available medicine supplies were completely depleted within the first two hours of arrival.

🚀 Upcoming Mission Phases: How You Can Help

To maintain this vital relief and transition into sustainable long-term support, our strategy is organized into two critical phases:

💊 Phase 1: Emergency Medical Supplies & Transportation

  • The Goal: Raise $25,000 immediately.
  • The Purpose: Secure urgent medication shortages (including antibiotics, pain relief, prenatal vitamins, and allergy medications) and secure reliable transportation to keep logistics moving.
  • Strategic Alliance: We are working directly with Farmatodo in hopes of securing and streamlining medical supply chains directly into the heart of affected communities. Our team is scheduled to deploy within the next two weeks to deliver these urgent resources.

🏠 Phase 2: Developing Project Casa Abrigo (Shelter Project)

Our long-term vision focuses on protecting children left without stable care due to the crisis by establishing a permanent, loving, and secure environment.

  • To date, this collaborative effort has helped more than 400 children, and the church is currently housing approximately 70 children.

  • Project Casa Abrigo aims to provide these children with a stable home, quality education, healthcare, emotional guidance, and complete protection until they can be adopted or placed with verified foster families.
  • Active Call for Support in Venezuela: We are seeking volunteer mothers, foster families, and families interested in adoption to join this local network. We will return in approximately two months to continue developing the infrastructure and legal registration of Casa Abrigo under the church's structure.

Every single donation and resource goes directly to the field, ensuring it reaches the families and children who need it most. Together, we can build a safer future.
